We’re very proud to have stimulated entrepreneurship in 2024:
- Investment deals for three of our spin-offs:
- Pan Cancer T, Spatium Medical, Kaminari Medical
- Collaboration agreement for our socially responsible spin-off LentiCure
- Eurostars grant awarded to spin-off ExoVectory
- Participation of four projects in the Venture Challenge:
- Myonovum, Kingfisher, RadiGene, FAP Inhibitors
- Finished two vouchers from the TTT MedTech Consortium
We worked hard to develop and license medical innovations in 2024:
- Licensed new medical innovations to industry partners to continue development
- Successful post-deal management of licenses resulting in additional revenue
- Continued licensing work together with Create4Care
- Made research materials and tools available to external parties
- Facilitated deposition of clinical & research data in Erasmus MC Research Suite
- Finalized transfer of IP from other knowledge institutes to continue the development of medical innovations at Erasmus MC
TTO happily joined efforts with the Life Science & Health community:
- Continued building new projects within collaborations:
- Rotterdam Square, UNIIQ, Convergence, Oncode, & more!
- Furthered the development and investment into Erasmus MC Incubator
- Established a South Holland MedTech Incubator Program with:
- Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, Yes!Delft, unlock_ of PLNT Leiden
- Supported medical innovations via the ErasSupport Fund
- Accelerated AI in healthcare through an AI Call by ErasSupport Fund
We reached out to colleagues and partners across our community:
- Built a new website
- Organized events in Erasmus MC to promote knowledge and discussion:
- Lunch Lectures, Pitching Masterclass, Entrepreneurship Essentials & more
- Participated in many internal and external events:
- ASTP events, LES events, MedFit, BioBavaria, Sophia Research Day, & more
- Hosted delegations from other institutions and organizations:
- Ministry of Education, InnovationSquare, Alzheimer Fund, & more
- Grew our LinkedIn followers by 38% – so a big THANK YOU to our followers!
We focused to bring our technology transfer practice to the next level in 2024:
- Focused on our Intellectual Property management:
- Welcomed our new IP Manager and expanded our patent attorney partners
- Upgraded our use of the Sophia TTO management software by Wellspring
- Covered all Erasmus MC departments and institutions via Active Scouting
- Supported applications for Top consortium for Knowledge and Innovation (TKI) grants
- But most importantly…
- Running marathons, singing karaoke, and eating (too) many cakes!
