About Dr. L.W. (Lottie) Stipdonk PhD
Introduction
As a clinical linguist and speech and language pathologist, I predominantly work with young children with complex speech, fluency and language disorders. I combine my clinical work with research since this combination may lead to the best possible evidence-based practice, which is scarce in the field of speech and language therapy. With a focus on stuttering, I do research both on fundamental underlying speech motor skills as well as on treatment effects in clinical trials. I hope to contribute to a better understanding of the underlying processes of stuttering, leading to more adequate treatment options for young children who stutter.
