About E.R. (Eleonora) Rubini
Introduction
Eleonora Rubini holds a Bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences (Developmental Biology) and a Master degree in Assisted Reproduction Technology. She has been recruited as a PhD student as part of the DohART-net project funded by the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions. Research interests: Altered conditions during the periconceptional period of gamete formation, fertilization and early embryonic development have long-lasting effects on the health of the offspring, including childhood and adult life. For this reason, Eleonora's research interest is to investigate the impact of maternal obesity and poor nutrition on embryonic development and growth. Particularly, she focuses on embryonic brain development, as maternal obesity is a risk factor for the development of mental health disorders in the offspring.
