About Dr. J.W. (Han) van Neck, PhD
Introduction
Professional development
I studied Biology at the Nijmegen University. In 1992 I defended my thesis ‘Gene expression in cultured smooth muscle cells’ and moved to Rotterdam to start a post-doc at the Laborator of Molecular Endocrinology of the Pediatrics Department of the Sophia Children’s Hospital. In the year 2000 I moved to the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery where I, in 2004, got appointed as Head of the Research Unit.
Current research
My current research interests are focused around wound healing, tissue homeostasis and tissue regeneration.
