Introduction

Jacky has a background in cognitive psychology, having earned both a bachelor's (2015) and master's degree (2016) from Erasmus University Rotterdam. From 2017 to 2021, she contributed to various projects on medical education, clinical reasoning, and diagnostic error as a research assistant at iMERR. She is currently working on her PhD research at Amsterdam UMC (as an external candidate with iMERR). Her research focuses on decision-making in the diagnostic process. Through her work, Jacky aims to contribute to a better understanding of why and how diagnostic errors happen, and ultimately, how to improve the diagnostic process to increase patient safety.
